How to Activate Readability checker

Step one:

Open Outlook and Click File at the top right.

  

Step Two:

Click on options at the bottom left.

 

Step Three:  

This will open a new window, Click on Mail from the options on the left of the window.

 

Step Four:

In the main part of the window click on “Spelling and Autocorrect…” it will be a grey button.

Step Five:

This will open a new window, it should already be on the “proofing” Tab, at the bottom of the main section there will be a check box for “Show Readability Statistics”. Click on that box to activate it.

 

Step Six:

Click “OK” in the bottom right of both the windows.

How to use the Readability checker

Step one:

Once you have the content in the email which you want to check, click on the review tab.

 

Step Two:

Click on Spelling and Grammar

 


Step Three:

This will open a window; it will suggest any spelling or grammar alterations. You can accept these by either clicking on the suggestion or by clicking ignore. You must go through all suggestions before seeing the statistics.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step Four:

Once you have gone through the suggestions it will show you the readability statistics.
