Microsoft edge
Step one:
Click on the star button in the top right of the window
Step Two:
This will open the favourites drop down menu, in here click on the three dots at the top
Step Three:
After clicking the three dots it will open another drop-down menu, from this menu click “Export Favourites”.
Step four:
After clicking export it will open a save as window, navigate to where you would like to save the bookmarks (Normally My Documents) and click save in the bottom right, after you have clicked save your bookmarks have been backed up.
Google Chrome
Step One:
Click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner
Step Two:
Click on “bookmarks” in the list.
Step Three:
In the list that appears after clicking on bookmarks, find and click on bookmarks manager.
Step Four:
After clicking on bookmarks manager, it will open a new tab showing your bookmarks, to the right of the search bar click on the three dots.
Step Five:
In the drop-down menu select the option that is called “export bookmarks”
Step Six:
After clicking export it will open a save as window, navigate to where you would like to save the bookmarks (Normally My Documents) and click save in the bottom right, after you have clicked save your bookmarks have been backed up.
