Access

To access iTrent moving forward you will need to provide, in addition to a username and password, a six-digit code which will be available through your mobile device. You will need to install one of two authentication apps

MFA - Microsoft

To register using the Microsoft authenticator app: Scan QR Code Open the app and use the plus icon to add an account.

If scanning a QR code, any account can be selected:

Point the device’s camera towards the QR code.

This will scan and create an account in the authenticator app. The system name and user email value will be shown against this account. The six-digit verification code will now be available for input.

MFA - Microsoft Manual Entry

To register using the Microsoft authenticator app: Manual Entry If you are unable to scan the QR code, you can copy the long code that is provided on iTrent ‘Secure your account’ registration screen.

Either copy the key manually or using the copy to clipboard icon:

Open the Microsoft authenticator app and use the plus icon to add an account. For manual code input, the ‘Other’ account type must be selected followed by the ‘Or enter code manually’ button.

The copied key should be pasted into the ‘Secret Key’ field. Any account name can be given; however, it is recommended to use something identifiable as the name will be shown against this account.

Press ‘Finish’ to create the account.

The 6-digit verification number will now be available for input.

If you have a number of applications registered for MFA within your authenticator app, you may need to scroll down the list to find the relevant verification code.

The first time you log-in with MFA you’ll be prompted to save a recovery code. Select the copy icon to pick up the recovery code and then paste and save this code for future reference
